Well received a flyer and a letter through the door Thursday August 18th stating the "proposed" changes to sheltered housing service. How many times does Helena Housing use the word "proposed" to their residents. It isn't a proposed plan at all. It is a done and dusted move. Then they come and say well we have to cut somewhere. no one wants to see services cut. don't treat us those as if we don't know what is going on. First came getting rid of the scheme manager and having that to push a button on the phone. Non-person replacement. Now comes get rid of the pull cords as people aren't using them. When they do it isn't really a emergency. So when I fell in my flat and couldn't get up on my own after several trys so I pulled the cord, it wasn't a emergency. I wonder how long I would of had to stay on the floor before someone would rescue me. Since it was at night so it woulde of been a good 12 hours at least.
The way the information came wasn't the best way either. Have someone put it through the door. Surely there was a better way to present the proposal. Unfortunately I am not able to attend the meeting but I think it is a blessing for me I cant. I hate when officials try to sell us a deal when it has already been bought.
Thank you Helena Housing for making me a person who suffers from bi-polar that more unstable..
